Should Men Wear Boxers or Briefs?

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

Both have points for and against them. If you’re still undecided, here are some factors you might want to look into.

1. Health. For more active men or those who run around chasing other men in padded outfits (football, get it?), briefs would be better since they provide more support. However, for men who are not too hot on personal hygiene, tighter undergarments can cause skin irritation or infection, particularly during hot weather. If you prefer briefs, make sure you wear a fresh pair regularly.

2. Comfort. Definitely boxers for this one. They’re more loose and airy. These are actually preferable when going to sleep, unless you sleep naked anyway. If you are into boxers, do choose cotton ones and those with soft gartered waistlines.

3. Women radar. Survey says – boxers! More women find boxers sexy, although the difference between the pro-briefs and the pro-boxers is very narrow. Either way, sexy men will look sexy in both. That’s according to most women surveyed.

4. Fashion. It has actually become a fashion statement for men to wear low riding jeans and exhibit their boxers. On the other hand, some women think that men who wear briefs are more serious and mature. Beats me how they came up with that, but there you go.

For men, it’s a matter of personal choice. Whichever makes them feel more comfortable or whichever they think makes them look sexy. Of course, they need to decide first whether being comfortable or being sexy is their priority.

7 Ways Men Can Relieve Stress

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

Men, particularly those in high-stress jobs, can do damage to their health if they don’t know how to relax or minimize the impact of stress. There are several ways to beat it simply and without much effort, here are seven of them.

1. Sex. Aren’t you guys glad this one is on the list? Orgasm relieves stress. Sweating during sex can help a man relax. The physical effort also helps keep the heart healthy. What more can you ask for?

2. Exercise and sports. Working out is a highly effective way to relieve stress. If you don’t like going to the gym, play basketball or jog around your subdivision for 30 minutes every morning, at least four times a week.

3. Laugh. Either get a real joker of a friend or watch some goofy movies. “The Hangover” is funny.

4. Read or listen to music. Stay at home and lie down on the couch without thinking of work or any other concerns that get you stressed out. Just put your favorite CD on or read a paperback.

5. Grow a garden. If you live in a place with a space for a garden, do try growing some plants. Studies have shown that staring at green colored things eases the tiredness of the eyes. It also helps that in general, plants can relieve stress.

6. Meditation or yoga. You can do this on your own or enroll in a class to receive guidance from a professional.

7. Drink green tea. The smell of tea can actually promote relaxation. The drink itself is cleansing and very good for the body.

Anatomy Lesson for Men

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

A trim and fit body definitely enhances a man’s chances of attracting women. What woman can say no to a body like Brad Pitt’s in Fight Club or David Beckham’s in the Armani print ads? For the information of men out there, here are parts of a male anatomy that women usually look at first (from the neck down only).

1. Chest. Women like men with great looking pecs. Sexy chests make women want to lay their head against them and feel the strength and warmth. Well-developed pectoral muscles also give an impression of reliability.

2. Butt. Men with sexy butts look great in cargo pants and jeans. Actually, they look great in anything, even in nothing. Women love to squeeze, and this is one part of a man’s anatomy that they like squeezing.

3. Torso. A trim, muscled torso turns women on. Men wearing low-ride jeans, with their hip line on display, get women’s imaginations in overdrive.

4. Thighs and legs. Huge muscled thighs and legs will always score a man a lot of extra points. It can actually be a turn off if a man has sexy chest and torso and have scrawny legs. Work on those leg muscles guys, girls don’t like “chicken legs.” Well, unless they are served in a fast food bucket.

5. Hands. Contrary to some men’s beliefs, most women are not turned off by callused, rough hands. Rough hands or worker’s hands on a man are actually attractive. Very manly.

4 Skin Care Tips for Men

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

Having healthy, great looking skin can add a lot to a man’s appeal. Women love running their fingers on supple, smooth skin. But just like women, men should not rely solely on their superior genes (for those who own them) to maintain a healthy skin. Here are some tips to help you get by.

1. Dryness. If you live or work in a place with 24/7 air condition, you will be more prone to skin dryness. Use moisturizer on your face and body lotion for your whole body to keep your skin from drying. The areas that need the most attention are the skin on top of your joints, like elbows and knees.

2. Back pimples. Men are more susceptible to back acne than women. Sad thing is, the back is one of the sexiest parts of a man’s anatomy, hence the need to keep it acne-free and smooth. Avoid wearing tight clothing, particularly in the summer. Shower after working out to avoid getting sweat trapped between your clothing and your skin.

3. Sunburn. It can hurt, looks awful and can lead to more serious medical problems. If you plan on going to the beach or just walking around while the sun is at its strongest, use sun block. Clothes will not protect you so better lather on that lotion. There are types formulated for daily use that will not be obvious that you’re wearing them. Better choose the one with the highest SPF.

4. Corns. They usually appear on your toes and feet. They definitely don’t look sexy so you’d better get rid of them. Applying petroleum jelly before going to bed will help.

Steps That Should Be Part of Men’s Daily Hygiene Program

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

Men are not as concerned about hygiene as women. However, caring for one’s self and making sure that you follow certain hygienic procedures will help you become more attractive to girls. A lot of women like rugged-looking guys, but 99% of the female population do not like sewer-smelling males.

1. Using deodorant. Male sweat can turn women on, but if you’ve been misguided, sweat here means natural sweat, not BO. Use deodorant daily, there is no greater turn off to a woman than having to sniff that awful body odor, no matter how gorgeous the guy who produces it.

2. Flossing. Kissing is a big part of romance. Brushing your teeth is not enough, use dental floss to remove the materials lodged between your teeth. And while you’re at it, regularly gargle with mouthwash; women love the smell of mint on a man’s breath.

3. Nail-cutting. You can’t expect women to get turned on by dirty fingernails and toenails. You don’t need to get a manicure, just cut your nails regularly and keep your hands clean.

4. Foot powdering. If you work out all the time or jog regularly, you are more susceptible to foot fungus which could bring with it, not just itchiness, but a bad smell. Use foot powder before wearing socks and shoes. If you feel itchiness in your feet, consult a doctor immediately before it gets worse.
